Frédérique Domergue finds her inspiration in nature and at the seaside. Her paintings evoke landscapes, skies and seas that are sometimes calm and tranquil, sometimes dark and turbulent. This abstract work seems to be of a raging sea under an inky sky. The differences in the oxidation, the green and copper tones, impart a powerful contrast on the composition. less
