19th Century Exquisite Antique Caucasian Seychour Rug In Red's And Blue's. Keivan Woven Arts / rug KBE-140401, country of origin / type: Caucus / Seychour, circa 1890.
Measures: 4'2 x 7'.
Seychour rugs are known for their heavily tribal designs. This fine piece in particular holds vibrant colors and bold contrasts. The middle field is a navy blue background with medallions decorated with ornate motifs in multi colors. The unique motifs on the border encase small flowers are rendered in similar colors of red, orange, blue, green, gold, cream and brown.
