Nationally recognized artist and university professor Don C. Nix is well known for his work in ceramics, sculpture and painting. Nix is a lawyer, a student of Sufism and has been a professional artist maintaining a studio in Sonoma, California for over 35 years. His paintings have a universal appeal and was featured in the Art Aquisitor Magazine, The Dallas Times and at the Amsterdam Whitney International Fine Art Exhibition in New York in 2010. Don's work has been exhibited at Chelsea Gallery (N.Y.), Hubris Gallery (N.Y.), IADB Gallery (Washington, D.C.), Mesa Gallery (San Francisco, California), The Arts Guild (Sonoma, California), the Opia Gallery (Sonoma, California) and the Windsors Gallery (Dania, Florida). Don Nix's paintings are in the permanent collections of the First National Bank (Dallas, Texas) and the U.S. Department of State (Washington D.C.). His large acrylic on canvas painting Aztec is signed on the canvas NIX '76 and has two paper labels affixed to the wood stretcher. Framed size: 71 H x 58.38 W less
