This dynamic 1970s floral abstract on a shaped, 10-sided canvas measures just under six feet high and 73.75” at its widest point. Stockamore received her Master’s Degree in Fine Art at the Pratt Institute in New York and taught art history at the University of Connecticut in Hartford for many years. She was a highly accomplished abstract expressionist and color field painter and her work has been represented by numerous national and international galleries and is now held in private collections throughout the United States, France, Switzerland and Japan. She has described her paintings as, “an investigation into the effects of time and nature on all things, a visual remembrance of countless transitory realities.” less
