Charming and unusual mid-century modern block print featuring a cowboy garden scarecrow in the farm fields.
By Philadelphia area artist, Theda Evans. Marked "Artist's Proof" and signed by the artist at lower margin in pencil. Print is on off-white art paper with visible fine gray fibers in the weave. Double matted, under glass, in a black with gray wood frame accented with a thin band of gold gilt. We aren't sure of the artist's printmaking method, but it appears to be either a woodcut or linocut print.
View area measures 8.5" tall x 5.5" across. Very nice vintage condition with some age-related toning noticed at the edges of the mats.
