These chairs were likely manufactured and … more A pair of mid-century ladder-back side chairs by celebrated English architect/designer Terence Harold Robsjohn-Gibbons. These chairs were likely manufactured and distributed by Widdicomb in the US although no label is present on either chair. The pads are upholstered in black velvet.

The chairs are in good vintage condition overall. The wood frames do show some wear and scuffs. Joints are generally solid with some very minor play evident on one leg but this does not appear to be structurally significant at this point. The fabric is in good condition with a couple of minor marks and minor typical wear.

Again, these very desirable chairs look ok and are fine to use as is, but the new owner my wish to reupholster and refinish. The chairs have been priced assuming this may be the case.

Each chair measures approximately 34"H x 22"W x 18"D less
