Featuring finely detailed ormolu appliques surmounted on a mahogany wood mat. The neoclassical Empire style motifs include a Grecian wreath finial and rosettes with stylized foliage, the edges with an ornate patterned frieze of neoclassical laurel leaves and berries. The back with a folding easel for table top display as well as a loop to suspend on the wall. Retains a glass panel covering the photo aperture. Frame measures 4 3/4" wide x 1/2" deep x 7 1/4" height. Will hold a photo measuring 3 3/4" x 2 3/8". In overall good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age and use. There are two thin hairline cracks in the wood mat. One of the tabs to hold the easel down is missing at the back of the frame. less
