This antique Chinese Altar Table is made in Ming style furniture with simple and straight lines. Traditional Chinese "Auspicious" patterns decorate the front and the back of the table. The top of the table is made with one single plank of wood and almost two inches thick. The table is crafted with wooden pegs and tenon structure; which is the very traditional craftsmanship for furniture making in ancient China. This table is very long and solid and can be used on both sides. Made of the core of Elm wood with beautiful wood grain. Original patina and wear. Circa early 19th century. Excellent condition.
