The bottle itself doesn’t have any visible scratches, chips, dents, or cracks. The only noticeable cosmetic flaw is damage to the stopper. At some point, there was probably a long, thin glass rod that functioned as the dauber/perfume applicator. Unfortunately, it was broken at some point; however the surface has been filed, in order to make it smooth. Although slightly uneven, the stopper still fits on top of the bottle & stays in place with ease. less

This beautiful piece of vintage glass is an outstanding example that showcases the high quality that mid-century art glass continues to manipulate in our own. The When this bottle was made, it was handblown using the bullicante technique, a painstaking process also known as the ‘controlled bubble’ method. Known all over the world for their breathtakingly beautiful glass design, this piece is suspected to have been made by glassblowers on Murano Island.
As previously stated, the bullicante technique was used to make this piece sometime during the mid-20th century, which was a popular style at that time. Although somewhat self-explanatory, this technique is how the bubbles inside the spirals were formed.
Somewhat paradoxically, air pockets found inside handblown glass are typically seen as imperfections and are generally undesirable; however, because this bottle was made using the controlled bubble technique, the air bubble inclusions actually increase the desirability of this piece.
CONDITION: With stunningly vibrant blue coloring encased in a thick & heavy transparent glass, this piece is really in quite good condition. There are no scratches, chips, dents, or cracks. The only noticeable cosmetic flaw is damage to the stopper. At some point, there was probably a long, thin glass rod that functioned as the dauber/perfume applicator. Unfortunately, it was broken at some point; however the surface has been filed, in order to make it smooth. Although slightly uneven, the stopper can still be placed on top of the bottle, which then makes the damage invisible to the observers who will inevitably simultaneously be admirers!
DIMENSIONS: Accounting for both the bottle & it’s stopper, the piece cumulatively measures just under 8-inches in height. The bottle itself is roughly 4.75-inches in height and the glass top is around 3-inches in height. The width of the bottle measures about 4-inches, and the width of the stopper is about 2-inches. less
