- Vintage; C.1992 Delft porcelain, hand-painted, in Holland, is this, coved fish herring fish platter, serving dish, made exclusively for Skully … more Vintage; C.1992 Delft porcelain, hand-painted, in Holland, is this, coved fish herring fish platter, serving dish, made exclusively for Skully & Skully Mfr's for the US Import market. The Foundry, whereupon this gorgeous piece is hand-made, in Holland, is called De Koninklijke, which is the "only," remaining Delft Foundry for Delft, or earthenware factories that were established in Delft, Netherlands, in the 17th. Century, and known for it's Delftware. It has been active for more than 350 years. This Classic blue and white color palette, with flower, leaf and bird motif design, on this platter, along with blue painted porcelain, were brought back from China, when the Dutch East India Company brought back this design to the Foundry. There is an original sticker affixed to the base bottom, as 2nd. to the last image indicates, which the Foundry, as well as below in hand-painted scroll detail, the artist whom worked on this piece, and to the left side the scroll "du," indicates the year, c.1992.
