The Trusteeship Council Chamber is a horseshoe-shaped room with a high ceiling. The walls are decorated with murals depicting scenes from the history of the United Nations. The most striking feature of the Trusteeship Council Chamber is the statue of a girl holding a bird which hovers with outspread wings above the center of the room. The statue was created by the Danish sculptor, Henri Starcke, and it symbolizes Mankind and Hope.
