- This marvelous antique Meiji Period cloisonne vase is created in gorgeous dark green enamel background with black base and fabulous … more This marvelous antique Meiji Period cloisonne vase is created in gorgeous dark green enamel background with black base and fabulous copper foil inlays throughout, as well as enameled with polychrome images of blossoming chrysanthemum flowers and butterflies in pink, turquoise, dark blue, white and light green enamel, all on a brass base. This beautiful vase as a gently shaped neck which flairs into a shapely vase. Hallmarks are: This vase has worn hallmarks which cannot be used to identify the maker. Measurements for this fabulous creation are: Height from top to bottom=5 inches, Diameter at widest=2-1/4 inches. This marvelous antique cloisonne vase has been well cared for, gently used and is in excellent condition with cloisonne free from chips, cracks or other imperfections.
