Description: Not much is known for certain about the Le Mieux porcelain factory. The majority of sources place the factory in … more Not much is known for certain about the Le Mieux porcelain factory. The majority of sources place the factory in the Limoges area of France and report that it was destroyed in WWII. But there is some speculation that the factory was located in the U.S., possibly in the Chicago area. Either way, sources consistently attribute this particular pattern to the 1930s.

Offered here is a Le Mieux China 24 Kt gold hand painted porcelain decanter set. It consists of the decanter, a stopper, four small footed cups/glasses, and a tray. Each piece (except for the stopper) has a hand painted pastoral scene done in the style of Louis XV or XVI. The wide border accents are done in sea green and white.

With the stopper in, the decanter stands about 15" tall. The cups/glasses stand about 2 5/8" tall. The tray measures about 15 1/4" X 9 1/4".
