The slats form a see-through cut-out oval pattern on the back of the top part of the chair., must have taken quite some time to craft since the scale of the slats is so small. The structure is architectural in its design with trestle support on the bottom part of the chair. I found this little gem in an antique auction in Napa Valley California. less
