Description: We are selling this very fine oil painting on canvas of a mother and child. The painting is very well … more We are selling this very fine oil painting on canvas of a mother and child. The painting is very well executed and appears to be mid 19th century, the painting is signed with Initial monogram RSM to the left of the figures. The painting is housed in a really nice gold frame that may be original, it has label for Hendrickson Doll & Richards of Boston who dealt in some very fine American artists and also of John Nighland.

Condition: Painting has been restored and re-lined sometime in the mid 20th century. Frame is probably original and has some damages and losses.
