The Stangl Magnolia pattern was designed by Kay Hackett and was introduced in 1952. It remained in production until 1978. This pattern was the first to utilize a new green engobe also developed by Kay Hackett that was different than the usual white Stangl backgrounds. The pattern is one of many floral-themed designs, featuring incised lines and raised detail. Like all Stangl, it is hand painted with no two pieces exactly alike. This set features two shakers, a three-hole, and one five-hole for salt and pepper. The front of the shakers features a red-tone magnolia flower in bloom while the reverse side features a fully opened, small, white magnolia. These shakers do not have stoppers.
Measures ~ 3" H x 1 1/2" base diameter.
