This captivating original watercolor by listed Italian-American artist, Ettore Pellegatta (Italy/USA 1881-1966) depicts a still life scene-flowers in a vase.. Pellegatta anglicized his name to "E. Pell" and that is how he signed these watercolors. He turned to painting when physical problems interfered with his sculptural works. Please view our other listings of these charming, diminutive watercolors by E. Pell. We acquired the complete collection. He created these after retiring from sculpting.T o our knowledge this is the first time his paintings have have appeared on the open market. Please view our other listings from our collection of Pell's (Pellegatta's) watercolors. Pellegatta sculpted many large scale works in Miami as well as the lions at the N.Y. Public Library.
