Oil on canvas signed André Le Guen. This Breton born in Carhaix in 1929 has been painting since the age of 16. A keen traveler, he silhouettes Europe and the landscapes he encounters.
In this work, Le Guen depicts a coastal landscape with a cloud-laden sky. Windsurfers move about on a choppy sea, its waves crashing against the rocks. A few houses and buildings overlook the coastline.
You can imagine smelling the sea spray and hearing the seagulls.
This painting will appeal to lovers of the sea and of art.
