Description: This is a one-of-a-kind vase as in the only one like that in the whole world. I know that because … more This is a one-of-a-kind vase as in the only one like that in the whole world. I know that because I am the artist who painted this wonderful piece. I hail from a family of artists, artisans, woodcarvers, and iconographers dating back to the 12th century. It is my privilege and honor to be able to continue in a field forbidden for women until not that long ago. All the stained glass colors that I use I mix myself to obtain yet another hue that is not ready from the bottle and therefore unique in its shade of color.
It is large and extremely diverse in its use. I often suspend a small light bulb to illuminate the inside of the vase and the result is beautiful and a change of ambiance occurs instantly. I have tried to show it in a photo. Next to the window on a stand - the colors and whimsical shapes take on a life of their own. I just love this vase for its uniqueness and versatility.
Fantastic as a centerpiece.
Approximate measurements: 17.5” x 8.5” x 9.5” weighs 8 pounds.
It is also signed and numbered and the year that it was made is 1998
The number 101 represents the number of pieces done in that specific year. The first 50 or so numbers are reserved by me, so the first registered with me the number for a given year is usually 51. less
