Highly decorative and functional modular system in a subtle color scheme black, white, red, grey and petrol blue. All in great and complete condition. Fantastic fifties hallmarks such as the petrol color of the metal writing desk and the minimalist wire suspension.
The system contains:
Black and white metal cabinet with sliding doors.
Petrol blue / grey writing desk ( 40x70 cm ) shelf cabinet
Red shelf big
Black shelf small
3 black wall supports and all the hooks for the shelving.
Easy to create your own combination thanks to the adjustable hooks and wall support system. Takes hardly any space and would look great in an industrial minded or artistic space or room. All parts have been checked on damage, where needed restored. So all ready to use in your home right away!
Dutch company Pilastro ( Zwanenburg ) became succesfull during the fifties, producing many symbolic small furniture. Designer Tjerk Reijenga created this modular system for the company, he also designed the famous ‘musical scale’ coat rack. Together with Tomado, Cadovius and Pastoe, Pilastro was the leader on the market for metal household furniture. The pilastro parts are pictured in the 1960ies 'Goed Wonen' decorating magazine.
