The result was the famous ‘Donau’ (Danube) collection, composed of different furniture pieces, all produced in a large variety of varying burl woods and birds-eye maple veneer mixed with extremely colourful lacquered wood elements.
Many of these pieces are also integrated into the über-stunning decor of Villa Dorane, the lavish property in southern France decorated in the mid-nineties by Ettore Sottsass for Jean Pigozzi.

This table is made of birdseye maple wood with lacquered legs.
It was acquired directly from the family members of Franz Leitner, who have been since the 80s in their family properties.
