Named after French author, Augustin Eugène Scribe, Hotel Scribe opened in 1861 and was designed to enhance Paris' new Opera District. The Jockey Club of Paris used the first two floors of the hotel as their headquarters. The hotel soon became a regular for famous artists, intellectuals, and entertainers. Famous guests included Ernest Hemingway, Marcel Proust, and more!
