This 6x9 Swedish style kilim is a new addition to the award-winning Scandinavian rug collection by Rug & Kilim. Handwoven in wool, cotton and natural yarns, this piece represents a contemporary take on Swedish Deco Rollakans and Ryas.
On the Design:
This rug enjoys geometric patterns in tones of light blue and gray, with off-white accents and other neutral tones. Keen eyes will admire the blend of undyed, natural yarns interwoven for a look of striae and subtle variation. This weaving technique not only honors a similar one used by Scandinavian weavers, but reimagines it to create more of a sense of movement within.
