A nice pair of 1930 French art deco wall sconces in nickel plated solid brass or bronze holding two beautiful slip shades in nice pink colored frosted molded-pressed glass by Degué. The Paris (41 rue de Paradis) based company lead by David Guéron. Guéron employed the ceramist and designer Edouard Cazaux as its artistic director and head designer. In 1936 production stopped and the company finally closed down in 1939. This model is represented in the old Degue catalog under #718. Both shades are signed Degué.
The wall lights are 30,8 cm high (12,13") 17,2 cm (6,77") wide and 20,6 cm (8,11") deep. They are in excellent condition. I have re-nickeled and patinated the mountings. The lamps come rewired with American candelabra base sockets.
