The bench features an unusual pagoda form base, with cast metal feet and finials, the top surface is done in geometric perforated metal. Back in the day of land line phones, the phone was placed on the top surface, the telephone book could be kept beneath it, in the cubby space, and you sat on the pad seat to make you call, and "gossip".
While a somewhat antiquated form, this chic bench is still applicable to todays interior as a small bench, or remove the pad and it function as a plant stand etc.
