This is a RARE and ANTIQUE quill cutter and trimmer.

A beautiful sharpener tool, a quill cutter, with the maker name WILLY ( William was the brother of Thomas Nowill ).

Nowill Co ( established late 18 century ), famous for producing dessert knives, fancy pen, pocket knives.

Their goods was considered a high quality and quality sells.

There are 2 parts to this tool :

A quill cutter and a trimmer ( sharp knife ).

A quill was inserted into the hole of the top of the tool ( slightly open ) ,when you press on it to close it, it cut the edges of the dip pen.and shape it to hold the ink.

The trimmer is to sharp the pencils.
