I was lucky enough to purchase a group of paintings from a lexington massachusetts estate. Almost all of the paintings were american artists but there was this example from an important english painter. The family believed their parents had bought it on a vacation to dover beach. For those not familiar with the artist, I have included his biography below. This is really a wonderful original painting by robert carey sinker. Oil on board measuring 10 x 13 1/2 inches. Signed and dated lower right. This is a really wonderful view of the beach and the white cliffs. The people on the beach and all the details are really incredibly done. Painting is in excellent condition with just what looks like a consistent layer of surface grime. Cleaned, this painting would really be incredible. The colors and the details of the beach and cliffs and all the buildings would really pop. On the back of the board is the artist's original label. Even has the original linen lined frame that is complimentary and ready to hang. Frame measures 15 1/4 x 18 3/4 inches. less
