The Selendi hand-knotted wool area rug is named after a town in Western Anatolia where an inventory of rugs was uncovered from the 17th century. A blue field is bordered by vine motifs, layers of grey and tan geometric borders, and flowers in cream and red along each end of the rug.
Each rug is made-to-order in 6-8 weeks, hand-knotted in India with luxurious 100% New Zealand wool.
The Iconium Collection
Inspired by the ancient traditions of Turkish rug making, KFD founder Kevin Francis O'Gara translated traditional motifs and symbology he found in vintage area rugs. These hand-knotted rugs are made the same way, resulting in heirloom-quality pieces to pass down through the generations. less
