- A beautiful English Regency mahogany dresser or traveling keepsake box, early 19th century, circa 1810-20, extensively inlaid on the front, … more A beautiful English Regency mahogany dresser or traveling keepsake box, early 19th century, circa 1810-20, extensively inlaid on the front, back and top with intricate trapezoid and floral motifs and resting on suppressed bun feet. The design on the front panel includes what appears to be thistles, a symbol of Scotland. The sides have brass ring handles, later replacements. Around the back and sides on the lid is a recessed brass strap, perhaps a later repair. The lid opens to reveal three wells in the front and a narrow well running the length of the back that lifts out to reveal a secret drawer. The marquetry work on this box is of the highest quality. Truly one of a kind. less
