The items are an antique Nippon (Japan) porcelain cup with coaster and under plate.

Simply stunning, the items are marvelously hand painted in gold like paint. Take a look at these items closely, it is delightfully decorated with extensive gold beaded moriage ("moriage" is a type of decorative technique commonly found in Japanese pottery and ceramics), heavy gold outlined leaves and brushed gold trim. Beautifully done and the photos do not do the plate justice.

They are not marked but most likely produced in Japan between 1911-1921. The word Nippon was used until 1921 when the U.S required the Japanese to stamp their porcelain with the word Japan instead. The set is in remarkably good shape considering its age of almost 100 years with no chips or cracks or major scratches.
