A wonderful, fun tea or coffee set designed by the world-renowned artist and interior designer Larry Laslo (1943-). The collection is "Futura" and made for Towle Silversmiths in Italy..
This set is complete with a 17.25"w x 12"d x 2"h tray with handles, marked "Futura Laslo for Towle Italy Silver plate." The 8.5"w x 8"h lidded teapot, a 4.25"w x 4.5"h lidded milk/cream jug and a 4.25"w x 4.5"h covered sugar are marked "Futura Laslo for Towle Italy Stainless Steel 18/10." All pieces have a uniform shiny, mirror-like finish.
The teapot and jug are a whimsical conical shape while the sugar bowl is a sphere resting on a pedestal foot. Each piece has light wood and red accents.
