Add a charming touch of Oriental design to your décor with this stunning handcrafted black lacquer coffee table embossed with Jade stonework and Bone inlay. The women gathering in the center of this outstanding creation are reminiscent of the Chinese, the four beauties of China, actual historical figures who exerted great influence over kings and emperors.
They are exquisitely rendered in intricately hand-carved and raised Jade and Qingtian stonework, Faces are hand-carved from bone.
The white petals which border the top are an intricate floral pattern of ivy and plumb blossoms, surrounded by dainty hand-painted gold leaf patterns as well as tree peonies, the national flower of China.
Note the Apron all across is also decorated with Stonework of Symbols and People.
A hand-carved cinnamon brown dragon Face enrich the top of each leg with subtly claw feet.
Multiple applications of lacquer provide the lustrous black base coat.
An enchanting masterpiece, this beautiful coffee table with Glass Top is sure to be a treasured possession for many more years to come.

In good vintage condition with some wear and tear to the black lacquer, losses to the stone around the skirt and scuffs. The Glass Top has normal scratches and a small fleabite chip.
