In 1798 the Valentí family founded its first goldsmith's workshop in Barcelona. Faced with the need to show the firm's new creations, the family traveled to London in search of furniture to be able to display them properly.
from there arose the IDEA of diversifying production and starting to develop furniture for the firm, at a time when Barcelona was experiencing a modernist explosion.
