World famous Hubley made, cast iron doorstop. This vintage cast iron doorstop is designed as a peacock standing next to a extra large urn a top a fence wall. This is a hard to find Hubley piece numbered 208. Gorgeous original paint of blue, green, yellow, white. Extra details of florals and feathers make this an exceptional hand painted piece. Numbered correct "208" on back.
The Hubley Manufacturing Co. was incorporated in 1894 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania by John Hubley and produced hand painted cast-iron toys and household objects such as doorstops, bookends and bottle openers with themes that ranged from different breeds of dogs, to horses and cars.
