Beautiful vase designed by Dieter Peter for Carstens Tonnieshof in the late 1960s-early 1970s. This hand-crafted vase is identified as the "Mooncrater” vase from the Space Age.
Carstens are considered by many, to have been the best producers of West German Pottery and Dieter Peter was probably, the top designer of that era alongside Bodo Mans, who was working for Bay Keramik, another highly regarded West German manufacturer at the time.
Dieter was famous for designing bold patterns and bright glazes.
