The base of the piece is made from iron metal that has been woven into a grid pattern. There are cute round finials on each of the umbrella spokes. In the center is a metal rod where the wooden handle screws into. The wood is painted in black and has some areas of flaking paint. There are also some chipped spots on the black painted metal.
