This marvelous Art Nouveau style bowl was created in gorgeous sterling silver and was made by Charles Edwards, Silversmith in … Read more This marvelous Art Nouveau style bowl was created in gorgeous sterling silver and was made by Charles Edwards, Silversmith in London, England. There is a beautiful Art Nouveau style design with a background stippling and large floral designs with swags in repousse. There is a blank cartouche on each side. The lipped rim is rolled with a border between lip and body of the bowl, which sits on a pedestal base. Hallmarks are: C.E within a shield=Charles Edwards, Lion passant=English sterling, Leopard Head=London, h=date of 1903. Measurements for this fabulous creation are: Height from top to bottom=3 inches, Diameter=4-1/2 inches, Depth=2 inches. This marvelous antique serving bowl has been well cared for, gently used and is in excellent condition. There are a few nicks in the bowl rim, one 1/8 inch dent on the side of the bowl and a pin point dent on the inside, commensurate with age and use, but they do not diminish the beauty of this beautiful bowl and are only evident on close inspection. It is the perfect addition to your dining service, particularly if you like the Art Nouveau style! See less
