I have a thing for Asymmetrical chairs. I buy all of them. This pair might be Grosfeld House but is surely in the style of. Rock solid structurally. One side of the chair rises in an arch while the lower side is a carved wood scroll the fabric wraps around. There is braided carving at the top and draped carving at the arms. The leg tops are acanthus detailing. The finish on the arms has small surface scratches that should be sanded and stained. The leg carving is intact but has finish wear. The top of the piping is the place on the fabric that has pulled away and has wear. The fabric overall is clean. A clever upholsterer might be able to work with the top. If not you will need to reupholster. These are the most dramatic from the back where you can cleanly see the lines of these glorious chairs. Timeless beauties.
Condition: Wear on the wood arms. Sand and stain. Touch up finish on legs. Upholstery is explained above. Please also review the pictures. The chairs are rock solid.
