They came from a French portfolio of 4 volumes, the "Encyclopedie de la Plante", an “artistique” and “documentaire” collection of botanical prints. This Beaux-Arts collection was originally published for edification and research on plants found throughout the world. These photographs are strong and impactful. They are unusually large They show the vegetable on the plant with its foliage. They are unusual and would make for wonderful home décor as a grouping in a kitchen or restaurant.
