I checked "Some Imperfections" just to fully disclose any possible concern on a mark inside the bowl under the glaze (shown in close up photo) that was there when it was originally purchased. less

You will enjoy this charming late 60's or early 70's Vintage Delftware Crocus Bowl that is both decorative and functional. This elegant and unusual bowl is based on mid 18th Century English Delftware for growing bulbs or displaying cut flowers.
Enjoy the first signs of Spring flowers inside your home with this special bowl designed specifically for forcing crocus bulbs. Other bulbs such as narcissus and miniature daffodils can also be forced to arrive early for your indoor enjoyment. Convenient removable lid allows for easy cleaning while the extra small hole on top allows watering without disturbing the bulbs.
This hand painted glazed earthenware with removable top is signed "Lillian Vernon Hand Painted Japan" on bottom of bowl. The bowl measures 8" across and is 3 3/4" high.
This bowl was purchased by my Mother and has been in my care for the past 30 years. It will be packed carefully and includes its original box. NOTE: Please see the double fine line about 1" as shown in the close up photo of the inner bowl. It is an original mark which was there when bowl was purchased and is under the glaze. It cannot be felt and is not a crack. Any questions are welcome. Thank you for looking! less
