The work that has gone into this … more This is a quite magnificent bronze Mermaid figurine standing upon a marble base. The work that has gone into this is stunning. The shape, the lines, the detail, her 'floating up" aspect - the craft work involved is that of a master. It has been signed on the bronze base (which sits atop the marble): "F Carvill 2/ 35". I've tried to capture this as best I can with a photo (see pic). I assume "2/35" indicates this was made / finished in February 1935.

The mermaid stands 28 inches tall and weighs a solid 22lbs 4oz. The base measures 8" width x 9.5" depth.
