This rectangular trumeau has a small wooden frame, with a cracked and molded effect, of fawn brown in color.
It is dark of a mercury mirror in the lower part.
Separated by a central crosspiece, the upper part has a large painted canvas. This is a reproduction of the work entitled "Clio, Euterpe and Thalie" of Eustache Le Sueur (1617-1655). Considered one of the founders of classical French painting, he is sometimes nicknamed "the French Raphael".
On this canvas Clio, the muse of history, holds the trumpet which celebrates the great facts of humanity and the book which records them. EUTERPE, a music muse, plays the flute and bears a crown of flowers. Thalie, a muse of comedy, holds a mask that evokes the theater.
This trumeau will bring a touch of delicacy to your decoration.
