New York , NY … more This marvelous gravy or sauce ladle is created in gorgeous sterling silver by Whiting Manufacturing Co. New York , NY in production from 1866-1926. This beautiful Louis XV [named for King Louis the 15th of France] pattern was first introduced in 1891 and has since been discontinued. This elegant pattern has floral and curlicue embellishments around the handle and down to the edge of the ladle bowl. Hallmarks are: W in front of a lion, Sterling, Pat. 1891. Measurements for this fabulous creation are: Length from top to bottom=5-3/4 inches, Width of ladle bowl at widest=2 inches, Depth=5/8 inches. This marvelous sterling silver ladle has been well cared for, gently used and is in excellent antique condition, free from damage or repairs. There is light surface scratching commensurate with age, used and polishing, but they do not diminish the beauty of this lovely ladle. There is a "J" script monogram. It is the perfect addition to your dining serving collection, particularly if you like the King Louis XV style! less
