Hand carved wood club wrapped with blue, green and white rubber covered wire. Made and used by southern and eastern African warriors and hunters for times of conflict and also for hunting for food. At times of peace these clubs or batons can be used as walking sticks or proudly displayed. Mounted in the USA on a square lucite stand after being acquired by travelers who met the tribes people who carved them and used them for their intended purpose. Made and used by the Zulu, the Maasai and in the south eastern countries of The Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
The ball of the club measures 4" round and the entire body with stand measures 27" high and the lucite base alone is 4" x 4". less
