A nice French art deco hanging fixture made around 1928-1933 in nickel plated bronze or solid brass. The chandelier … more Degué
A nice French art deco hanging fixture made around 1928-1933 in nickel plated bronze or solid brass. The chandelier holds a Degué bowl in thick frosted pressed glass. It is slightly pink colored and spreads a pleasant warm light when lit. It is marked 587 on the rim. And it's signed Negra. A handful of Degue models have titles like Negra or Roc. They aren't company names. This Negra bowl and its matching side shade is the only model Degué made with this name. The bowl is represented as model number 587 in the old Degue product catalog, see pictures. The catalog is no part of this sale.
The chandelier has a height of 41 cm (16,2 inches) and a diameter of 35 cm (13-3/4"). The lamp is in excellent condition. I have re-nickeled and patinated the authentic fixture. It's rewired and holds an American standard socket.
