These vintage transferware set of cups and saucers are in amazing condition and a great addition to your collection of Royal China dinnerware.
The Royal China Company started manufacturing this pattern called ‘The Old Curiosity Shop’ in in the 1950’s. It features authentic reproductions (in a delightful green color) of old-world scenes inspired by the Charles Dickens novel of the same name . They were designed by Gordon Parker and produced in Sebring, Ohio. This collectible Dinnerware has stood the test of time - collected since the 50's and still very popular today.
The Royal China company manufactured several patterns in the mid 20th Century among which are Currier & Ives, The Old Curiosity Ship, Willow Ware and Colonial Homestead. Because they are all a similar style, created from original lithographs, they look great when mixed and matched together.
I have a large collection of pieces in this pattern along with Currier and Ives set that can be used together. Check my listings for other pieces..
