The Kiel Week or Kieler Woche is the largest sailing event in Europe, held annually in the first week of June in Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein in Germany. The event was founded in 1882 and is also one of the largest Volksfeste in Germany.
Since 1948 the event has been world renowned for its iconic posters and has featured works by many significant graphic artists & designers through the years. Many posters have won major awards and are considered a reflection of the current styles. This beautiful design is from the 1981 event and features a design by Bernd Brocke.
