Extraordinary artisan sculptural root wood sofa handcrafted from naturally free-formed burl redwood which has been polished and worked into an impressive sofa, by a California sculptor in the 1960s. The twisted pieces of burl wood have been assembled to create this organically shaped piece. The root wood sofa has the solid support of a seat cushion which is upholstered in a cotton mix fabric. The seat is spring-loaded. The seat fabric compliments the rustic style of this piece. The fabric is like a sheepskin replica.
