This lovely tea cup, saucer, and dessert plate set is made of porcelain. This set is stamped "CPO", meaning Central Purchasing Office, and the stamp indicates that this piece was only sold on a U.S. Army/Navy base in Japan around the time of WW2. Each piece in this set has a gorgeous overall red color with gold detailing that depicts an image of traditional Japanese structures and a motif of two exotic birds.
The measurements are:
Cup: height=2" diameter=3 1/2" approx.
Saucer: height=3/4" diameter=5 1/2" approx.
Dessert Plate: height=3/4 diameter=7 1/2" approx.
