For your consideration we are presenting for sale this fantastic pair of Vintage watercolors paintings by listed artist Martino Dorce (Haiti, 1943) Original Framed Pen and Ink Watercolor Paintings depicting characteristic theme with tropical haitian fruit market and female group carrying large baskets on their heads. Signed. C,1960's - 1970's. Original pen and ink watercolors by Martino Dorce, a Haitian artist who is widely acclaimed and collected. Born in 1943, Haitian artist Martino Dorce attended the Ecole Nationale Tertulien Guilbaud primary school and was a student of Joseph Tony "TiTonTon" Moise, who has exhibited worldwide. Dorce has exhibited in his native Haiti and in the US. Dorce transports the viewer to a tropical paradise that is at once colorful and innocent, while at the same time, mysterious and sophisticated. To his lush, detailed pen and India ink drawings, he adds layers of rich watercolors until he achieves vividness not usually associated with the medium.
